1970 911t , need advice.

Long time lurker first time poster. I've run across a rough car for sale. Would be a great parts car. Floor is rotten, hit in rear, engine electrical is crushed. Car has original engine but trans changed to 915. Appear to be original numbered wheels. It's been sitting for 8 years. Question is what's it worth in terms of parts? I just don't want to see this thing rot into the ground. It's a 1970 911t with the 2.2.

5k is what I had in mind as well. I so wish this car was still saveable but I really don't think it is 😞

Everything is saveable - you should see some of the threads in the Technical section.

And just ask Adam...

Sure everything is salvageable - just comes to a point when is it really worth it?

I think you can get 10K-15K parting that one out.

Wheels, headlights and door frames are probably worth $3-4k. There is another $5k worth of engine in the back if it has not been damaged. I don't see this car worth being saved, unless it belonged to Butzi or Mcqueen.

5.5x14s are worth under $1000 for a set.

There are people out there who are working on projects, some more than one at a time. This car is worth way more than $5K to them, and the marketplace. Gotta be $10 grand worth of car to somebody. Maybe more.

List it. At $5k it won't last a minute.

The problem with a car like that is you have a bit of a limited market since it is in Canada. Also, depending on what if any paperwork it has. Some guys in the states won't deal with the hassle of the border for a car that isn't something special. I didn't do well last time I went to the border...
