A one off, brand new 993 turbo built by the factory to celebrate the company's 70th anniversary?
I'll just take a moonshot guess of $1.2mil. Stuff like that is so far removed from my world...

Well, officially it will always be known as the last air-cooled 911 built by Porsche. I'd say 1.5 million is too light. So I say double the first post - at least.

Yeah, I'm probably way low since that GT2 993 sold for $2.4M last year. How about $2.78 million?

Millions for a car you can't register or drive on the street. Wouldn't that make it Art and not a car?
This belongs in the prices that blow my mind thread. Quote:

Are we going with the price is right rules on the guesses?! The charity part makes me think it will go pretty high.. but maybe not. 1.6M.

This is probably well into the seven figures, maybe as high as 3 mil. I see Jay and Jerry going head to head, the battle of the retired comedians to obtain the last air cooled 911 turbo ever built...one that’s been curating for 2 decades. |

In the 2 millions at least is my guess. The charity write off alone will bring allot of heavy hitters out.

I'm guessing that either the chassis has no vin stamp or since it was made in 2018 but would only meet 1995 crash and emissions standards it might not be EPA legal.

Nice to know that Porsche had NOS 993 frames sitting around just to do this project. |

I suspect this 993 tub was a 993RSR replacement tub from Motorsports. |

I have a buddy who owns a 993TT from new. It's never been registered because he's a car dealer, but he drives it all the time with dealer plates.
Could you do that with this one? My God. Can you just imagine the mad rush to buy a new, modernized air cooled Porsche today? We'd be tripping over each other to get a shot at one.

this car came up today at werks. was chatting a gentleman within the porsche ranks about it. sounds like if you dig hard enough, they're sitting on a lot of stufff from the 964-993 era.
we were wondering what porsche's motivation was to do this car now. fascinating...

Must be color-blind who came with the color-combo. Horrid.
Or perhaps an effort has been made to make it look terrible, so it does not outshine current model line up (difficult job as any 60s-90s 911 does that).

Slapping dealer plates on a questionable car, who would do that?
