Sun roof, A/C, Color - +/- ?
Looking at the Haggerty website and playing with their valuation tool.
For a 74 & 75, they add: 10% for sunroof 10% for AC 10% for 5spd 10% bright color Whats the censuses, 1) you value a slick top less than a sunroof car? 2) Prefer AC in a middie or one without? 3) Would you pay a premium for a car that left the factory with a bright color( orange, yellow, blue , green) - 10% more? |

1) I like the sunroof (only have it open for 2-3 months of the year here, however - the "winter" months) but would not value it any more or less than a slick top (and likewise, I would not put a premium on a slick top).
2) AC, preferably highly modified, should be in any and all, non-race 911s that are actually driven in warm/hot weather (unless the driver and his passengers enjoy being drenched in sweat when they get to their destinations) and I would consider the presence of a highly functioning system to be well over a 10% bump 3) I would pay less for a 911 in those colors listed (except maybe blue, depending on what kind). |

On my 68S I prefer the sun roof because it is a light hearted fun car with the last of the working wing windows and with the pop out rear windows and the sun roof open it has great air flow and the sun roof adds visibility for touring in the mountains and it is also a rare option on a SWB car so adds value when it will be time to sell. 2) I have A/C in one of my mid year cars and prefer it to the one with out. 3) I would not pay more for personal use but I know it will sell for at least 10% if not 25% more because of the green color. I am really shocked at the value increase color adds to a 911. |

AC was pretty rare 74-75. I could see that bump. We’ve talked color before. There are definitely some colors with a bump. Don’t know about the 5spd thing. I thought 4spd standard was something started in 76 but my memory is shyte.

1) I could care less about the sunroof, as I simply don't use them
2) As much as I hate to say it, at 54 years old I prefer AC. Given that the only way it matters is if the AC system in a middie has been totally modernized. 3) Personally I don't care about color but there is NO question the market pays up for interesting colors.

Slick top cars are lighter, stiffer, w/more headroom and it's just cleaner w/out the sunroof, plus less to go wrong. Colours, I thought, were very subjective & what I may pay a premium for you may not. Not sure about the 5 vs 4 but I know I'd prefer a 5 unless it's an early 930 and I'd keep it the way it came from the factory. As far as A/C goes, not really fussed as you need to get a modern retrofit for it to work properly and it's more weight. Horses for courses.
