Value of a 94 C2 Cab with unknown mileage

I saw this pop up on Philly Craigslist. Not sure about the story, but the car does show well. Assuming a Ppi, leak down and compression test support the seller's claim, does this look priced correctly?

Yes. Looks correct if it all checks out.

It all depends on condition. I would want to know if thats the original motor in the car. I would want to know if its original paint. Hard to tell because the grammar is so poor.

"New top, Paint and interior near perfect, 17' alloy Cup 1 wheels, brakes, suspension excellent, Maintenance up to date. Tools"

You can read that mess of a sentence as the car having a new top and near perfect paint, or you can read it as the car having a new top, new paint and new interior. Also of note, it lists Cup 1"s, the wheels pictured are Cup II's.

The shop looks familiar, I might know the place. I believe its been on the market for quite a while. Can't hurt to offer them less. The price looks decent for what the car is, just understand when it comes time for you to sell it's going to be a hassle.

^^
Its priced under market. Go in with your eyes open knowing its a TMU car, not a 30k mile car with a clerical error. The car is priced to sell and cabs are far and away the cheapest 964. Source a Guards D moris top and you can probably make 15k when its sale time.

It says "new top". You'd be better off finding an actual set of cup 1's. Don't expect to make $15k with a TMU title. $48k would be "all the money" for a super straight no stories 94 cab in Red. This may very well be a nice car and I agree its on the cheap side but it wont be easy to sell. Its been on craig's list a long time already.

PO.... is the title TMU for sure of just noted on the Auto Check and Carfax?

Take a look at the picture of the Speedo...

Does it look like the Speedo from a 36k mile car?

D moris top is a removable hard top that makes a Cab look like a coupe. You can easily store it and revert to a cab if you wish.

Wow that top is sweet. What's the cost? Does it have a headliner? How does it mount?

sm70911 11-08-2018 06:54 AM

IIRC its around 5k, and i believe you have to pay d moris in Euros upfront, so slightly scary waiting process. Inside i think is lined in felt type material, very clean dark headliner.
There are a few threads in tech on it. Transforms a 964 cab IMO.

Thanks, I just read the entire 16 page thread on rennlist about the D moris top. It covered ordering shipping and tons of good info on shipping.
