1984 Carrera 915 pricing?
Hey,
My 915/68 is going to be offered in a semi unique fashion. I sourced a 915/67 a while ago and will be getting it freshened up. The semi unique portion will be the opportunity to test drive the transmission(915/68) prior to purchase. The transmission has 122k, works quite nice, all synchros work well, has been serviced with Sweco 201 since I have owned the car. The magnetic plug has shown nothing but very small amounts of fuzz and no discernible amounts of brass or other wear indications. The reason for this method is, my car is my daily, and I am gonna freshen up the /67 and add a bunch of Wevo and Guard products and will not be able to be without the car for more than a couple of days. So I imagine this trans would be worth somewhat more than a core of unknown condition, but I am trying to be realistic and possibly help out another Pelicanite. The trans is located in Boulder Creek, Ca. south of San Francisco, I would be willing to drive to a shop of ones choice for inspection, drive test, should you be from out of state. Opine? ![]() ![]()

I’d say about $2200-2500. That’s quite a bit of mileage

I’d put it about a thousand dollars more than that if it’s got the stub axles. Alone those are worth $600-800. Even by itself I would start around $3k. 3.2 915s have all the updates.

Trying to price components with all the possible permutations is difficult on a good day.
