A new kind of scam to watch out for...
I was sitting at my desk yesterday and the phone rang. Arkansas called ID. I picked up.
The guy starts right in," Hey there. You still looking for cars? I delivered a Porsche to you a while back and you told me to keep a look out. I found some cars and wanted to let you know." Guy talks like Boomhauer, but very smooth.
I decided to feel out his pitch a bit and asked a few questions. He claimed to have found a 79 930 that some old widow wants to sell. Says she only wants $3500 for it. Runs, drives, needs paint, but no rust, etc. etc. Also claimed to have a 49 split window beetle for $1500.
I asked him where they were. He dodged the question. Said he was in Texas but would be back in Colorado next day. At that point I just told him I wasn't in the market and hung up.
Arkansas cell number 501-658-5936. He never identified himself or his company. I checked my records and this guy has never hauled a car for me based on the cell number. Feel free to call him and try and buy these cars. ;) I'm just posting it so that if someone googles his number later it comes up in the results.
