Adam, again thanks for posting this. Nice quick read.
I would have to say at least he let you take it. It could have been worse. Man, a '73 Targa was the first car I drove. Wish I could still find one for $3K. The one I drove he wanted $5K for in 1989 - too much for a teenager heading to college. So I bought a 924 that I drove out west for $250 that needed a torque tube. Sweet car. |

The story only proves that there WERE vultures around during this time - and they were wolfs wearing sheep's clothing. The dude holding onto this car and the pile of others obviously had a personal scam going. It just was happening at a different level - these mechanic-type thieves have been there since the beginning of Porsche time.
