Scary Franken-Porsche value?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-911/163586938410?hash=item26168a962a%3Ag%3AzvwAAOSw4S1 cg01T&LH_ItemCondition=3000%7C1000%7C2500

Not really sure what to say about this one?

If you had 300k burning a hole in your pocket, is this what you would buy?

Sure, but I could build one for $1/4m less than the ask. Is there really provenance on a car like this?

Gateway Classic cars seems to corner the market on the most offensive and outlandish 930 abominations I’ve ever seen. They had that 935 speedster type hot mess that sat on their lot for a decade or so, maybe it’s even still there. I think the currency might be off on this one, it looks more like a 300k Mexican Peso car, as opposed to 300k US.

I’d buy it for 10% of the ask and drive it.

The 918 plastered everywhere was more offputting than anything else for me. Although tbh at first glance the front reminded me of a GT6 more than a porker.

I may be losing it. The fact that I said in public that I’d drive this means I’m likely on the slow slide to senility...

I'd say this takes the prize for the oddest concoction of mods. Beyond strange.

I’ve ridden in a 350 swapped 914. I was afraid. It was mean and seemed treacherous. I’ve driven 930s and never been afraid.

The idiot host says in the video that "these cars are known for perfect 50/50 weight distribution"

Asking price and value are mutually exclusive...

Anyone notice it's still a 6 cylinder, maybe even a 5.... Thing is barely running in another driving video I saw.

i wouldnt know the first thing as to the value of that ....thing lol
but i do know they fishing for a unicorn
when the real estate agents put an ultra expensive home for sale they put it out for twice its value
leave it out for a few months looking for an athlete or a oil prince then eventually the price gets cut in half - so not that uncommon to put a house out for 100m and sell it for 40m
so they are fishing for that pro basketball player or silicon valley wiz kid

ever see lebron james new home in cali ? super nice house but man, they wrung him out good )

I think I've seen a few of these wacky SEMA show builds come up for sale shortly after the show is over. The crazier they are, the harder they are to flip. Typically someone is left holding the bill for a rush build (this one only took 4 months) and 6 months after the show, they now have 100 grand tied up in build that is completely impractical and can't be resold. It looks like the builder in the interview (which by the way, he's a talented guy - there are some cool things there and I would definitely inspect this car at a show) is the same one selling the car now. It's probably more promotionally for sale than for serious sale if that makes sense.
