The Gravel Man Cometh!

Now that the snow is melting the yard is turning to mud, so we called the gravel man for a top off. But that means moving lots of cars that haven't moved all winter. Fun day!

I bet those cars move as quickly being pushed by hand, or moved with a fork lift, as they did under their own power!

I bet they moved quicker with the forklift, as it has much more power.

I try to never pick up these cars with a forklift, it's just too rough.

Anyone remember the Porsche forklift?

A couple of years ago, I restored a 1950 Motolift, ginormous forklift (restored for use - not show), which included making some unobtanium parts; I wonder if that biitch is older than any of the cars on Adam's lot?!?!

Oldest Porsche I've ever found was 10629, a 51 Coupe, I think the 623rd Porsche ever built, or close. It can boast it was made while the Dr was still alive, few Porsches can say that.

You win the oldest machine award, Adam, because I just remembered that the Motolift was actually a 1954 model (originally made for the US Army, according to an ID tag on it ).

Hopefully that’s not the same joint Robert Kraft uses.

I flew into Stemboat yesterday, which was a bit of a challenge once connecting in Dallas. I experienced some of the worst turbulence I’ve ever been in, and almost the entire flight (both of them actually).

Yup, looks just like that in the collection of Robert Brocker, I ran into him last year and asked him how the restoration was going, he said he hadn't gotten to it yet, he was working on his Gmund.

Every interstate east of DIA was still closed this morning. There were tractor trailers on their side in 8 states. Cyclone bomb.

After the flight in I’m surprised they didn’t shut down the entire state for inbound flights. It was very rough, and the landing was one of the hardest I’ve ever felt. The snow is great on the mountain though, I’m carving it up right now!
