PTS 315k mile Carrera
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/1030828-1986-911-carrera-coupe-pts-2-owner-cali-car.html
I like this car a lot, but 315k miles wow. if it was my ad I'd provide a lot more info on the mechanical history of the car. For almost $34,000 I'd want to see a split case rebuild in the history done by a reputable shop, as well as a top end at some point. Very unique, the dash reminds me of a 90's lexus, love the int / ext combo. PTS looks close to Nougat Met. Love the chocolate brown interior and factory sport buckets. The new owner would have to love it because whatever mileage he racks up I doubt it's hitting mid 30's on the next go round. I think the 911 market was in a very different place when purchased. Sellers had it for a while more info on it here Post 18. Seems it has not been driven in his ownership. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-marketplace-discussion/904374-ballpark-value.html

Looked at another way, if a new owner buys with his/her eyes open and intends to own and use as a weekend toy for the next 10 years, there will likely be a whole lot of other vintage 911s with a quarter million and more miles on them, and this one won't be quite the outlier it is now.

Like the color. Don’t like the dash much.
Wonder if the leakdown numbers have changed from ‘15. |

Why buy a car with 315k miles and not even drive it???

That car looks great considering the mileage. I think the price seems fair. I’d bet that the mechanical condition has to be on par with the exterior and interior condition. Not a fan of the wood dash but I could grow to accept it if it were my car.
The seller’s other cars are cool too; see the pattern? All brown or green. I remember from these forums that he had a nice brown 944 at one point too. When I started looking for a 911 five years ago, I was looking for a green or brown one. Ended up going brown.

Are you a buyer or just commenting on the car?
It’s a nice car that the owner obviously liked driving. I like the dash! I’m local and can look at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just don't get that, it's a good looking car. I'd want to drive it.
