What should I ask for my 1985 Carrera?
This a great car I've owned for 13 years, total mileage is now 104K.
No rust, no accidents, pretty much stock except wheels, steering wheel and stereo, drives, runs and shifts great. The hood was repainted by the previous owner but to my knowledge no other paint work. I have done regular and thorough maintenance and would drive this car across the country tomorrow. GP White with burgandy interior. Recently: Euromeister 17" wheels 7" & 9" front brakes, bearings & hoses with PMB rebuilt calipers. new tires During ownership: new windshield & factory seal fuel pump speed & ref. sensors When I had the PPI done prior to my purchase Chris of Chris's German said that it looks like the engine had never been out, I've never dropped it. It leaks some oil during the cold winter months from what appears to be the valve cover. The drivers seat is showing it's age, two cracks in the dash. I rarely drive the car and with my recent relocation and retirement its time to let it go to a new owner. I'm looking for a no hassle no drama sale and will price accordingly. Thanks for any input. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1559583115.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1559583115.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1559583115.jpg |
Looks like a mid to upper $30s example.

I really like the 914! but like you in the same situation I have a 85 Prussian Blue but due to other cars and the heat (AC works great and family commitments, it's not driven as much as I would like to).

Low to mid $40's. I sold my 85 last year. Your looks lot better. Pm me, if you have more questions.
