89 3.2 sport seats - value?

Hi all - I have a set of black sport seats out of my 89 3.2 I'm thinking of selling. I replaced them with a set of our Sparco QRT Performance seats and just can't see going back to them. Especially now that I had the seat inserts and rear seat bottoms recovered in houndstooth.

So question is - what is a set of these worth these days? They're in great shape - the PO had them recovered high quality german vinyl when the car was in Denver. There's a couple of small scratches on the outer driver bolster where something rubbed against them while getting in the car - not sure how it happened. They have the power bottoms but no heat option. I've had the car just under 5 years so covers are roughly 5 years old. I have the receipt from when he had them installed.

I'm not sure if these bolt up directly to a 964 or not, but look exactly the same so I'm guessing they would.

I've seen prices all over from $1500-$3500 so just trying to get a realistic idea before listing them.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the sideways pics - phone was upright when I took them so not sure why it's rotating!

Agree, the higher priced are for middies. There’s a pile of sport seats on the market right now.

I'd keep em if they are original to the car in case you ever decide to sell unless it is too far gone from original.

Thanks for the input everyone.

jhynesrockmtn - the cars not too far gone but definitely not original. I changed the tail, brakes, suspension, has RS carpets, fenders were cut & rolled by PO. I don't see it ever going back to stock especially without the carrera tail.

If you have somewhere to store them where they are not going to get ruined and you don't need the money keep them. It is unlikely someone will buy your car and not want them. They look nice and will only get more difficult to find.

If you really don't want them and I needed a set I would pay you 2k no problem. I love sport seats and have re-covered 2 pairs. I paid around 700 for each set, both needed to be re-covered, and another 2k to have them re-covered. That was also at least 7 or so years ago.

That is what I thought about the Euro SC I have that the PO had built mostly for track duty. Fordahl suspension, built 3.2, roll bar, Recaro SRD seats, etc. No body changes though other than a Carrera tail. I'm rethinking it given most of the track days I do I'm surrounded by GT3's, GT4's, Turbos, etc. I don't care that much about speed but it is more fun to run with other cars around. I have the original seats and will likely slowly turn it back into more of a stock looking car and soften up the suspension a bit.

Those seats are cool but storing them takes up a lot of room :-)
