Posted a lot on this section saying he was a "collector" and was looking to buy any air cooled Porsche, in any location, payment right away.

Made quite an impression on some of the people who spoke with him, none of it good.

There is a whole clan of these guys in the NOVA area and into the northeast. They don't have two nickels to rub together but try to get in between sellers and real buyers to turn a quick profit. Flipping is one thing but they don't have the liquidity to make deals and just end up wasting time and effort.

Pro tip: If You are approached buy a buyer who sounds like he has no better than a third grade education, the odds of a successful transaction are slim.

This guy is a real piece of work. I offered him one of my cars a while back. It was an 87 coupe with 74k miles on it in pristine condition with COA and lots of service records. He told me it was only worth mid 20's and if I wanted more I would have to consign it to a dealer and wait months to only get a little more.

He would have pitched the car to a real dealer plus his markup. This guy couldn't produce $25k if you pointed a gun at his head.

The gypsy community is actually pretty funny, one guy makes a deal and literally all of them try to copy. I don't think they are capable of an original idea.

It was still sitting in the driveway the last time i went by there and put ANOTHER message on the door that i would be interested in buying the car. I left at least 4 messages and never got a response or an answer at the door. It was covered up with a tarp for quite some time but the last 2 visits the tarp had rotted off. It has been 6 months or longer since i went by there.
