Solex carburetors
Does anyone know the current value of 911 Solex carburetors?
The set is complete but missing only the cross linkage. Any information would be great. Thanks. ![]() Last edited by GlennShipley; 06-29-2019 at 04:56 PM.. |

You gotta be a real purist to run those. I would say very little value.

I see prices all over the place.
You got to be restoring a 66 to need these. I'd hate to trash them. Thanks. |

GlennShipley, post your question on the Early 911S registry. They have a very high value, so don't get lowballed on them.
My guess is $5-$6k, but it's just a guess. They are very valuable for someone restoring a '64-'66. Last edited by Arbee; 06-30-2019 at 10:58 AM.. |

Thank you very much.
It would be nice to have some extra funds to put into my SC. |

I had cars with those carbs. No way I'd run with them when Webers are available. A purist who wants a pristine and original 65 or early 66 car would appreciate them more. You gotta find the right buyer.

I have a 65 that was built in 64, I sent Glenn a pm but no response yet. I'm interested in the set up
when you are ready and going to sell. LMK Thanks, Patrick |

Definitely don't listen to the people saying they have no value just because they don't want them. I sold a set for $6k about a decade ago. My set was complete with everything just like yours, though they had been restored by Bieker. I know my number isn't recent, but I can't imagine they've gone down the last decade.

These have a lot of value. Don’t listen to those who say they have little value. I’ve heard the figure 6k quite often.

Here is a link to a set for $5,000 with out the air filter housing/muffler
My guess, your set is worth about $8,000 Solex 40PI carbs (another set) |
