RWB Bring a Trailer

Whats up with the RWB? Looks like its not getting the kind of activity they were looking for. Stalled out at in the high $60s and now BAT is saying they found something on the PPI.

Trying to find a way ouf the auction early to prevent RWBs from taking a huge hit in value?

RWB Bring a Trailer

There was a White car in the Bay Area, CA Craigslist that was listed for about a year with no action. That style really appeals to a younger group and most lack the funds to buy one.

Agreed. Very small market for these. Most of us with the funds to buy one cringe at the sight.

Maybe (hopefully!) we've hit Peak RWB? They had no luck on eBay at $140K...... Must have thought BAT would be bring the big bucks. Good luck with that!

I just went back to see if there had been any more bidding. Looks lime BAT pulled the plug.

Looks as though most people have woken up from their sake headache and have come back down to Earth. As I suspected more than two years ago, these Japanimation creations have seriously taken a hit - sorry, but the way he cuts cars is shameless - which is a big no-no in Japan.

The RWB Build

I am amazed at the lack of properly preparing the suspension for the much larger wheels & tires.I have watched two videos and not even alignment when done. For safety sake wheel bearings for all four corners should be changed.Who in their right mind increases the load and angle on used bearings. The customer probably has to sign a disclaimer.Ciao Fred

^Agreed!

Why mess up such a pure, organic design with all the crap they add to the cars? I understand the stuff that was done to 911s in the 80s/early 90s (we didn't know any better! ). Different strokes of course, but I'll take a narrow-body 911 with shiny trim and a big motor stuffed in the back over one of these any day...

Gemballa 911. They were kind of popular in the 80s. Think they are still building crazy kits for Porsches.

Beat me to it. I had a Gemballa, a SC convertible and it was in the European shows in 83-84. I got it for my dealership inventory at Barrett Jackson when Tom Barrett still ran the BJ auction in 87 or 88.. It was not as radical as this one. Black Black, but plenty glitzy, with lots of real Gold plating on wheels and trim with all steel turbo look body mods claimed to be their first turbo body convertible. They soon evolved with radical body styles for street. As I recall that white body style one is the Gemballa avalanche.

Here we go again! This one also appears to be all show and no go... "powered by a largely-stock 3.2L flat-six"
