964 Cabriolet Tip worth?
Acquired this as part of a trade, not really into Cabs so may move it just not sure if it’s current value. It’s a 92 tiptronic with 100k. It’s been sitting for 6ish years and needs some love. There is some rust not under the windshield but where the cowl meets the fender. It’s had some paint work but hey it’s all one color right? Was told the motor has been gone through but no documentation. Will get compression numbers after a new fuel pump. Hopefully the photo shows when I picked it up shows. Just trying to get an idea on what to ask. Thanks.

A yellow 964 cab tip sat around for over a year at $33k private party in Philly on Craigslist. I’d guess a lot less than that.

The shame of it is, the car's only worth somewhere in the $20's. Do you know much about the history of the car? or numbers on the motor? The value is in the value of the motor and parts. The cost to make it a nice drive will exceed its value in the market place.

A rundown tip is hard to deal with
 when there are so many nice ones in the market.Low 20's seems reasonable assuming a good engine but that's near parts money. |

Was figuring 25k so wasn’t far off, much less and I’d throw a little money at it and let my oldest drive it when she turns 16 next year. Thanks for the info guys. Picking up a 993 chassis so will be absorbing as much as possible here.

Polish it up, touch up the rust, clean the interior, get it running well and slap it on eBay for $29k buy it now or best offer. If it runs, drives, stops, has a decent interior and top you will probably get all of $25k or more. Obviously I am basing this off one small pic, but I have been looking at 964 cabs to send out for an RCT conversion (not tip, but I see tips) and there is nothing for sale in the 20s.
