Petition to require tiptronic be in FS titles

Is there anything worse than clicking on a for sale ad and seeing its a tip? I request that all tips, cabs, targas, be stated as such in the titles of all for sale ads from here on out.

I think we banned the term "G-50" in titles so I see no reason we can't require triptronic.

the dealers and sellers that do this should be publicly stoned at their local cars n coffees. you aren't going to fool anyone of us into buying your crap tiptronic. just put it in the title so we don't have to click on it.

Yes - for me it's reading pointless posts by people who seem to feel their lives are being ruined by having to click on an ad to learn more about what's for sale.

well, then be fair.. require any transmission type - Auto / TIP / PDK / Stick - to be in the title.

More than the transmission, I'd like to see the location and miles in the title. Or how about something even more radical like price?

In amg463's defense, there is a special place for those who engage in click baiting or misleading titles.

However, this hardly registers on that severity scale.

it is clickbait, pure and simple. dealers who do this do it knowingly.

Which is ridiculous because no one who wants a manual is going to accidentally buy a tip. By contrast, guys who want a tip REALLY want a tip. Seems being up front would really help a sale happen.

Yep.

A much greater offense is dealers who leave the price off so you have to contact them. Site rules say a price. And over and over the same people get away with leaving them off.

Or why do Tarek and Randy Brimsley get to post in private sales. They are known dealers.

I think that every title should include a pic of a hottie in a bikini!

Dealers who leave off price - not just here but anywhere - tell me to not bother with that dealer. It screams SHADY AF and actually doing me a favor.

Yep, currently there is a Pepper Wagon on the dealer page, no price. I might have been interested, but I want to know the basics before I waste my time listening to their BS.
