early H4 value?

Okay experts a value question on a set of early H4 headlights that I acquired recently.

I dissembled and cleaned the lights and they are in very good condition. The lenses look like new, the reflectors are a little cloudy but still very nice. Lenses have raised markings with no H4 marking. No city lights in the housings, bulbs have a old style mount with the earlier bulb. I think these are from 1972 or 1973. I was going to install them in my 964 but I am wondering if they worth selling and buying a later set of H4's.

Any thoughts on value of these lights?

H1's have 2 reflectors, 2 bulbs and 4 adjustment screws so both the high and low beams can be adjusted individually. These lenses may be the same as H1's, they are clear around the edges rather than the pebbled look as on most H4's.

A Guide to Bosch H1 Headlights | Audette Collection: The Definitive Resource on Vintage Porsche 911 Lighting

"Did you know that Bosch H4 headlights for 1972 and 1973 models are different from all subsequent H4's? Unlike subsequent years they don't have the small 4w city light in the reflector as those are in the front turn signals. As a result they have a different bulb holder from other years. And for some unknown reason they also have a different shield that is riveted unlike other years."

I have multiple sets of H1's and H4's and even the latest AL branded H4's I bought new 7 years ago have the 4W city light. Are you talking the latest versions for sale?

Just wondered if these would have more value to someone who has a 73 or 74 911. It would appear that they just an oddity and valued similar to any other set of H4 headlights. I found these interesting because they don't have city lights which I didn't want on my car. They use H4 bulbs with a p45t base, which seem to be harder to find than the p43t base but Daniel Stern Lighting carries both types in higher wattage.

Ever since the introduction of LED lights the H4's and especially the H1's have dropped in value.

Occasionally you will find someone with a car optioned with these that wants to restore to original but you might be waiting a long time to find that buyer.

H4's sell in seconds - if priced half-reasonably.
folks still want them.
the led set-ups look like a horse's rear appendage, in most cases.

Do you mean like this

There are a few LED versions that look correct but most I agree with you don't.

I’m partial to the German made Bosch lights.
