value of a ‘85-1 944
Hi,
This car has been sitting for a number of years. It doesn’t run but I am sure that if someone put a little effort into it that it will run. I want to get rid of it but I don’t want to go to a junk yard. They pay by the pound. At the same time I do not know what a fair price would be for this car. Thoughts? If I had the room I would part it out. As it stands it is taking up space that I definitely could use. Thank you for any suggestions. Tim |
Tim,
pics would be helpful. Why was it parked? How many years idle--outdoors or in a garage? Body/interior condition/mileage? Options? Any history on the car? |
These cars are not easy to sell.
A good starting point for average base 944 with manual and average miles is $4k to $5k. How many miles on the car? Miles are a huge factor in selling price. What kind of condition would it be in, if you spent a morning cleaning it ? As it sits, make an ad and list it online sooner rather than later. You can sell it as a parts car. Or pay a shop to get it running if you get no bites. |
$1000-2500.

Get it running. Some youngster will buy it and make it his own. We all started this way and it's a great way to get into Porsches.
