value 75 Carrera 3.0 Coupe
I sold parts to a guy and dropped them off on my way from NC to Pa.In his garage was a 75 Carrera 3.0 in Continental Orange.Serial # 91156003xx.Motor & trans were stolen while in storage some years ago.I have seen 2 in the last 5 years on Mobile.de in Ger many for sale but none here.I think they made about 400 the first year. The bones are solid with a little rust above the battery where the bumper shock is.Paint is original but needs a complete respray. No I did not have a camera so no pics. Also a sunroof. He bought the car in 81 in Germany.Front struts are Koni with aluminum S calipers. It is a rare bird so I have no comparables. It is solid so I am thinking 25-30 thousand as it sits.I have a spare engine with blank number replacement case. What do you think a range would be?Front & rear trunks are very clean and would not need to be redone. It has 71,000 kms. Thanks Fred

I would agree most Euro 75s were 911/83 MFI car. I believe the 3Cs were a late 76/77 european model.
I know they did build 74/75 RSRs with 3.0MFI motors. There were a few street versions with Turbo like fenders these were not IROCs a collector has one in NYC. Continental Orange is one of my favorites. Here is a 76 or 77 3C. ![]() Information on 2.7 v 3.0 Carrera https://ferdinandmagazine.com/porsche-911-2-7-versus-carrera-3-0-compare

There were no 1975 C3s. The C3 started in 1976. The RS/RSR was a 1974 model designation. They made 109 of them and they start 91146.
A 91156 vin is a 1975 2.7 with MFI. Still a valuable and interesting car, but with 519 coupes made it's a totally different beast than the race/homologation specials of 1974.

9115.... vin is a 1975 car... no Carrera 3.0 until 1976. I've got a nice built up pre-production Carrera 3.0 engine that would be great in that car.

Fred why do you say it’s a 3.0 CIS car? I have not heard of such a car can you please elaborate with more information as the VIN you state is not a 3.0 CIS car?

75
He stated the motor was a C3.I will call him and see if I can jog his memory. He is around 80 years old.It may have been swapped to a Carrera 3.0 before he bought it.I looked back and the 75 3.0 I had seen for sale had 76 serial numbers. That chassis should have the 911/83 engine. You guys are right.

75 2.7 mfi
So I called him.It had a C3 cis motor.I made him an offer of 30K.He asked why I would pay so much.He THOUGHT 10k was ok.For the 2nd time I explained the serial # and the value completed. Not the original motor $150-225 depending on quality of finish. So he thanked me and said he would be more diligent from now on to finish.I do not think he knew what he had.He was very exited.Cool day for him after having the original motor stolen.Ciao Fred
