What is it with BaT and G50 Targas
|
One owner diamond blue metallic with 51k mi? That car will go for all the money anywhere.
|
My 87 is not nearly as unique but maybe time to sell it
|
Someone is in love with this car- I can see why.
True 2+ condition cars are getting harder to find |

There is a white 78 Targa now with over 100,000 miles at $55k now, 3 days to go. |

I agree about the 78 Targa with a 100k and a white car at $55.555k with three days to go.....???? that surprised me too...and no G-50?
|
Something seems amiss with this auction; no bidding during the final five days.

As I posted on BAT; I can’t believe the recent values, and can’t figure out why Targas are jumping above coupes and cabs with such a wide spread. This was quite the opposite trend basically throughout the entire history of G-Bodies until the last few weeks…

It's not about the Targa.
No mods and low miles will bring a premium. |
It was a 78 SC with 107k miles... The OP was an 88 which sold for mid $80k. I've seen plenty of coupes and cabs on BAT with similar mileage and condition go for mid 50's. I follow BAT daily and these Targas are bouncing with no real market around it to support these huge numbers (coupes/cabs). BAT has a Impact Bumper page which graphs the solds - either these are anomalies, or Singer is about to buy up a bunch of SC Targas...
