1986 driver 911

I'm thinking about sell my 86 coupe WHAT'S IT WORTH? Car has roughly 150000 miles. Black on black.. NO RUST!!!

Needs paint work(alot of chips from track use) at some point I'm sure engine will need a top end.
Interior is good no cracks in the dash n most electronics work (except sunroof).

Car has a rebuilt transmission with a Guards 8:35 r/p with a Guards clutch type limited slip diff.$$$ less then 10000 miles...

Car runs strong n pulls hard all the way to red line(6800)..suspension is very sorted great on the road even better at the track..7/8 Fuchs

I originally got the car for the track about 8yrs ago but the past couple of years life has gotten in the way and I just don't get there much anymore (1time this year and I think 1 time last year) car sits alot.

TIA
Steve

@Dan j....unfortunately the pics dont show all the imperfection...it's definitely a 10 footer...wish it were worth the 40k though...

@juanbenae....so roughly 28k...right around what I was thinking...I'll ask 26k n hope to have a quick sale...

Thank you both for your thoughts...

I’m confident with whatever flaws, it’s still worth we’ll north of $30k....I’d peg it at $35k if those flaws really make it a 10- footer....but I still believe with some clean-up, 40k is attainable.

You're leaving at least $10K on the table at $28K. You asked for an opinion of value and got it. Your value is way too low.

List it at $35k and be open to offers. I think you might be pleasantly surprised. I no longer make those 8:35 cwp sets btw. That’s a fantastic upgrade to that car.

@Matt....YES INDEED that 8/35 is amazing on the track...poor man supercharger...lol

Car has been SOLD....$27500 sight unseen but it actually going to a good friend of mine...I'm happy not to have to run the car around getting a ppi...and it's going to a great home where it will continue to be used what it was made for The track...

Thanks everyone for your input...
Steve

Racing seats really destroy the value.
Roll bar, missing carpets, and no OEM steering wheel.

150k miles also weeds out a large chunk of buyers.
Track cars with rough paint are not easy to sell

You would have had a hard time getting $30k for this.
Good sale. Way to be decisive!

Went to it's new owner today...I had a blast with the car just felt it was time to move on..
I think both myself and the buyer were happy so good sale..

Thinking maybe a Skyline R33 or a new Toyota/BMW Supra for my next toy..
Anyone with thoughts on those 2 cars?

Hey Matt...I know your a big JDM guy...wondering your thoughts on a r33 skyline...maintenance wise how complicated are they? Are parts easy to acquire and readily available?

I love the look of a Skyline but if maintenance is a hassle I might go in another direction...
I would very much appreciate your thoughts...

Unfortunately I don’t know much nuts and bolts about Skylines. I have mostly been a Subaru and Honda guy. We’ve got a JDM classics thread. I think it’s still in this page. Bump it and ask. Bernie for one used to import them back in the day.
