My brother contacted the seller and had more pics and video sent. He had every intention of buying the car till than. Car is not nearly as “minty” as seller implies.

Interesting because the car doesn’t present as “ minty” in the ad....

Nathan.... your thoughts?

The color code is clearly written on the plate. I wouldn't say it's chocolate mint or visa versa from Dairy Queen.

I think this is a very rare opportunity to own a 75 US carrera survivor in arguably the best color available. They are only original once however the car is not without its paint defects so one would need to very carefully match and touch this car up and it would easily be an original paint survivor. It’s presented without touch-ups which is the “honest” way to see the car. He could touch it up and would look 100% from 5’ and in pics. I think the price is right on however we haven’t seen any good examples of US carreras sell lately.

Thanks Nathan...... That's how I see it also...... wish I needed a car...... its a nice one but would need a committed ($$$$$) owner as rebuilding the original engine will not be inexpensive.....

Here it is in an undated ad for only $105,000. And there are plenty of photos.

https://www.elferspot.com/en/car/porsche-911-carrera-us-1975-1035095/

I can't believe it would be a respray but there are several worn areas and chips that show yellow underneath. Perhaps Lime Green originally had yellow base for effect?

Also, something looks funky to me about the green over green chipped paint around the engine bay decals. FWIW.

EDIT: It appears I was correct about the yellow base coat: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/69823-how-can-i-find-out-my-porsches-original-color.html
