I only glanced at the pics. I’ve read that if you have a rear spoiler you need or should have a front? It’s a whole lot of red and that prices on the 915 transmission cars are flatter than flat or slipping while prices on the “other” transmission are slipping out of my reach.

This is true and backed up by aero data from Porsche. That aftermarket tail looks like a cross between an early Turbo tail and a later Turbo tea tray tail; the tea tray reduces lift better than any of the earlier tails (by quite a bit), so putting that hybrid thing on the rear, while doing nothing to reduce lift on the front, is not smart (plus it looks goofily unbalanced).

Wood, I also see that the Targa top is in terrible shape, and those cost a fortune to have restored by someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Something just seems very off.

And the paint does not fit.

it's got RS style pull straps that i suspect being of two different colors makes it very rare...

Its a total POS. The car has just under 91k on it in 2009 and its been registered for road use ever since. Miles are bogus. Paint it a mess with over spray in places. The interior is a disgrace. Looks like a parts car if you asked me.

I went back and looked again. I am seeing a low $20's car tops. It's sad that any dealer would present the car the way it is now. Its not that difficult to put a little time, effort and money into making the car a whole lot better cosmetically. Get rid of those garbage door cars and get a decent set of door cards and hardware. Reskin that targa top. Lose the later model wheels and ditch that ridiculous spoiler. All for starters.

Actually, they did put effort into staging it. The inside has been bombed with ArmorAll. And it may have a recent paint job. My guess is the door cards ARE the clean up. Remove or cover the old destroyed cards. What kind of tail is that? I hate the one piece no-rubber solid color matched tails.

I see a lot of cars like this. Pig with lipstick. So much wrong and I don't focus on the earlier cars as much as the 964's.

Not sure where to begin and i only took 2 min to look it over. Full respray and poorly done with drip marks and other imperfections. An interesting modification to the front and sporting a 94 turbo S aftermarket tail. The original IMO was one of the best single piece tails Porsche used adding the most downforce of any single piece tail second to the 1992 TSL. I agree at the stance it has it needs a front lip and more rake. The interior is sadly worn as is the top and I have no doubt it has far more miles than shown. The interior mods are cheesy and needs lots of work. Windshield appears to be lifting and seal is cracking, Is that due to accident and won't sit right? Dash is cracked badly I suspect front seats and carpeting was replaced at some point in the past and the newer seat covers or seats have been dyed. Then lathered in goo. Not to mention no underside pics a dual exhaust turbo twists and so much more.

This is the real tail used on the 94 turbo S. I had the last one in existence in its original gel coat and I sold it for IMO more than this car is worth. These were also used by RUF. Might not be everyones cup of tea and I was not a huge fan of the flachbau but loved the turboS package car without the slope nose. These are million dollar cars today.

Say Cobalt! That may be the wing I'm after. Is there no chance to find another? That my be what was on my RUF BTRIII but I may never know. I have that haunch because it was finished out by RUF with a 964 body (911 chassy 89 cab). Had all Ruf components bar none with 6 speed, Ruf muffler with twin pipes coming straight out back of bumper like a 964 turbo. I never got to see the wing. It was the only part missing when I got the car in 1999.

Unfortunately Porsche had 6 made back in 1996 and that was it. All were used but one so I was told. The one I had was kicking around someones garage in Germany for years until I acquired it. It was never installed and had the shrouds which are all part of the wing and different than the stock 964 turbo shrouds. This is the same wing RUF used so they might be able to source you another but it would be a RUF part not OE Porsche. The only difference was the OE stamp the factory part used. AFAIK not all the BTR's came with this wing.
