Why no more 964 Coupes For Sale

Trying to buy another 964 Coupe manual, almost impossible. Prefer private owner, seems like dealers have all them bought up

You'll find lots of cars are "off the market" right now. No one wants to sell in the middle of the apocalypse if they don't have to. Try finding a Ferrari 308 right now, slim pickings.

No Adam
That’s really not the reason, the few available can be seen. Using masks and required distance not a issue. The PO are just keeping them knowing the 964 is the perfect air cooled 911 and with Porsche in trouble in early 90’s just no inventory.

I know many an owner who has told me they are waiting for Spring/Summer 2021 before trying to sell their car. I know, I'm always buying, and few are selling.

And the perfect air cooled 911 is the 993.

To find a C2 coupe in manual is impossible. So many Tips and Cabs in the mix it’s just makes it very hard to find. Plus the amount of people I meet that are true air cooled geeks and had many cars are zeroing in on 964 long term. To be frank, I love G50 cars but the 964 is better, even over the highly praised 993 models.

Looks like BAT is one of the few places to find one

Nope I know you got a sweet 993, I have one to, 964 is superior in many ways. But keep the discussion for another time. Mainly this is why the 993 has dropped in value overall and the 964 is going up. I found plenty of 993 coupe manuals, plenty

Bat is a place many Porsche Geeks go to. I would never buy a Bat car for many reasons not the least being ...not being able to see or touch the car, many are misrepresented

Four of my friends have purchased 911's from BAT recently and the cars had no hidden issued or flaws and were as presented.

You told me you were going to sell in the fall 2020. Before maybe after, but the fall. It is now the fall or coming into it.

I'm selling, just shipped out a 64C Cab this morning. But I'm not indicative of the general public, they are the ones who aren't selling right now, hence smaller inventory across the board.

Meh, a 3.2 G body will always be more classic than either. Last of the true aircooled 911's

Flame suit on

That’s great your friends did ok in Bat just not for me. That red 964 on Bar has a reserve of $65,000 so again will not go cheap. The white car on Bat is a Cab very common and not a desirable model

It’s not a topic of last of the true air cooled cars because the last is the 993. To understand a 964 over a G50 takes a lot of discussion and I have a 88 G50 coupe wonderful car but the 964 under pinnings are light years ahead of torsion bars and lastly the 247 hp is perfect as is, my 88 is a little under powered.

Maybe true for most models. But the 964 coupe manual is very short in inventory mainly because of demand and lastly because so few were built

The guys that have lowered the 964 are to me just wonderful, the torsion bars limit this process, to have coils over shocks is awesome. I seen my first Singer live at a cars and coffee the flairs and lowered body set this car off from the rest, but not to say it should for that price. lol

Same could be said that the 996 is light years ahead of any aircooled cars. I was more speaking from a heritage/aesthetic standpoint. Just my opinion, still feel the best 911 is the one you have in your garage and take out and drive

When the time comes and I can bid for Osaka trips again I've got to look you up. A true BTR is a unicorn car for me. As of now my lowly 86' just has a few RUF bits on it

When this Covid is over 964 will be even more then today. I have owned many air cooled cars and so have you. But to fully understand the models is a world left for few people. I had the luxury in 40
Years of ownership to own all Air cools including a two 356 cars the rest 911.
The only water cooled car that Makes me happy would be a 996 or 997 GT3
