Value of crashed Cayman S
I have a 2006 Cayman S with 150k miles. It was involved in an 'off highway excursion' and I would consider it a loss to me. Took a glancing blow to the driver side. I'll probably sell it as is but am not sure what it is worth. Anybody have a ballpark? I can post a few pics later.

I was buying damaged/accident cars for years like 10? They are all different, every one! Best you axe the ? with pics up front. With the milage and MY it might be parts car at the least. At best it could be more, if visible.

Probably the only valuable part is the transmission and engine but with 150k. Not sure.
If you have the time part it yourself. I don't recommend it. If you get a 2-3 k offer sell it. I just bought something similar from insurance at 2k to fix race car |

I recently rebuilt my 175k 987S engine. It looked new inside. |

You have your sources I have mine. I race cars as a hobby I have a real job not car related. When I need a M97 engine rebuild it cost me around 15k. When second gear blows in my cars it's cheaper to buy another 1k Cayman tranny than get it rebuild. How much Porsche charges for second gear and synchro complex? |

Here’s a guy in RL engine shopping. Maybe sell him your wreck.

so.. put in basic info into KBB.. 150,000 mile 2006 Cayman S. basic options. In my location, assuming "no damage", but "fair condition", its $5500-8,000 trade in value.
As a damaged car, its value would be less. Without pictures of th e"glancing blow" and knowledge of any engine or transmission woes, we can't be certain that its most valuable parts are ok. Also considering that at 150K miles, even if the engine still has life, there are some likely wear items (timing chain pads?) that would need attending |
Thank you for all of the feedback! This is good input to help steer me toward a decision.
