RUF Inventory- Pricing Help?

I've been stuck at home all winter and I must be going crazy.

I am about to sell off some of my prized RUF parts. Our Yellowbird tribute project has gone in a different direction, so some of these parts will be available.

Several items are considered "priceless", since they are no longer available. Is there an experienced Pelican, who can help me establish pricing?

Highlights-

RUF CTR airbox- brand new, one of one, was custom built at the RUF factory. Never installed. One Pelican member contacted me and I will give him first option to buy.

RUF CTR front oil cooler and oil lines- brand new. Two Pelicans have inquired about pricing.

RUF rear bumper- original bumper from CTR #12. A piece of RUF history.

Several RUF gauges.

2 mismatched Speedline rims.

I will be keeping the RUF front bumper, steering wheel, shift knob and mats.

For pictures- do a forum search for "RUF parts" and go to the thread "Authentic RUF Inventory" by SAY-642. Caesar took the pictures, but I am the current owner.

You can email me at mspear13@aol.com.

Hi Mike, if you want people to help, you should make it easy for them, post a link instead of telling people to search for a link.
Cheers,

Cheers,

That was my thought too. People looking for a deal will find the pics and then pm an offer. People offering help will just read this thread and reply. Help us help you.

Jim2,

Thank you so much.

I'm an old Vermonter and have not adapted to modern technology. Just started texting last year and still don't know how to post pictures here.

I would also suggest you call the 901 Shop in Stuart, FL. They have a yellow bird. You never know when someone might need some spares or a part that is nicer than what's on the car currently.

Whoa, those parts especially that air box ... should bring a pretty penny.

For top dollar, auction it at the usual places.

If not, sell it to me ;) What are you looking for ?

pmax, you don't need that! It won't work on your car. How many time do I have to tell you that, various Ruf part won't fit your car. Even that rear bumper is enticing for me, yet CTR narrow won't fit my BTR wide. What a pity. To Mike, the OP I could say, I know the Ruf dealer here in Kyoto. They have an original CTR in yellow. They could be interested in your parts if you'd like me to inquire.

Bernie,

Thanks for offering to contact the RUF dealer. I appreciate that a lot.

Some of the parts I bought, just don't work for our project, so I want them to go to someone who will use them. We have the rear bumper hanging in our shop and hardly dare to touch the airbox.

I've just retired and I'm in need of a new 50 HP Yamaha outboard motor for my little fishing boat. Right now, relaxing is more important than collecting trophies.

Thanks.

Relaxing sounds great Mike! I try to do that every chance I get. Got a Kiwi close friend here that has a Yamaha outboard motor. Could be about that hp not sure, but he would sell it if it is interesting.

Does that mean you'd like me to inquire to the Ishida brothers about your parts or not? I wasn't quite sure what you meant...

Yes, please, for contacting the Ishida brothers.

I'm only interested in a new outboard motor. My son and I have been fixing up an old (1951) boat. If I'm 20 miles from home, I want to be sure I'll make it back.

Thanks again, for your help.

Good idea to make it home on the motor, best idea. This same Kiwi guy was poaching deer (from the boat) off the south island of NZ with his younger brother at a younger age. They got hit with a rouge wave that swamped the inboard GM engine and they started floating toward Antartica (with the deer onboard). A day or two later they got picked up by a Russian trawler ship that towed them back to their country. They gave the deer to the Russians for the favor, but there was some hell to pay for the poaching in the end or at least the suspicion of it by the NZ authorities. I'm scared to death of the ocean. I would be sure to have a new running motor!!

I will make the call tomorrow to the brothers. If possible, PM me with your hope price on the air cleaner and rear bumper etc. I'm sure that will be their first question i.e. price if indeed they want these parts. You can also email me at bplett123@gmail.com

I recently bought a 25HP Yamaha outboard 4 stroke, electric start. Beautiful engine but not cheap.

NYNick,

I agree. A 50 HP is up there!!!!

It I'm doing my math correctly- 1 RUF Airbox = 1 Yamaha.

As I stated above, I don't know how to do that.

Jim2 had the ability to transfer some of the photos from the previous owner's thread, but I can't. Internal airbox pictures are down that thread a ways (not with the pictures that Jim2 transferred).

My son took some cellphone pictures. If you email me, I can get pictures to you that way. They're just not as professional. Sorry to make it complicated.
