I didn’t think I would ever get to experience that car in person. I tried to convey to my 10 year son the significance of what he was hearing and seeing, not sure it sunk in.

no, to his credit, it’s a solid car with only a few incorrect bits, but all there. fair price to boot. was a bit of a, uh, journey to get it done…

I always found that whole thing ridiculously laughable. The car was not a Ruf, because it didn’t have a Ruf vin. It was a conversion, and it was done by Ruf. It was always, imo, a 100% “authentic “ car, but he got stuck on saying it was a “Ruf”. So I hassled him.

I remember experiencing these while attending the Camel GT series in the early '80's. When that tri-rotor went by at 15k+ rpm, the exhaust note would literally cause my head to vibrate and my eyes to lose focus.
Not particularly pleasant, but a very different experience.

Latest jeep mod. aluminum 1/2 trail doors I wrapped with vinyl. was able to match the Chrysler Anvil color pretty well. the wrap is not perfect, but came out decent for how it will be scrubbed on brush... happy with my $30 amazon exterior mirrors quality.

Got an update from Daniel, the guy that bought the Domino. Putting it back to its original Gulf Blue, he included a couple of photos of it in the paint booth. Appreciated the update, maybe he will check in here and share a couple photos.

The one yesterday was quite far away, like 30 miles as the crow flies. It was in Mariposa out by Lake Don Pedro. Spent a couple hours watching it on flightradar24 during the efforts to stop it yesterday. At one point there were 6-7 tankers, including a couple of the big ones and 4 helicopters. Always love to see when WATCH DUTY announces, "forward progressed stopped" and a couple of local FB sites that monitor radio traffic alert that "tankers released".

Not a good start to the season.
