1972 T - Don't need it but...

Need opinions from all you shy pelicans. came across a 72 T this weekend. Don't need another car but... I have the bug for a new project / car/ something to keep me motivated.

What would you pay?

72 T, non sunroof, two owners, numbers matching- True millage unknown, stock AC still installed. Tired but derivable. Condition reflective of an 80+ year old owner who bought this car as a daily driver 37 years ago and hasn't done a great job of loving it but has treated it OK as a daily driver.

Body: Sepia Brown, couple of bubbles on front faded hood, two spots on roof that appear to have had dings that someone repaired poorly. Lots of door dings. Otherwise looks like original faded paint with no obvious visual evidence of rust. Initial inspection of floors ( not on lift) looked solid. Trunk area looks solid, battery boxes have a bit of acid contamination and sloppily converted to a single battery

Motor: Dirty as heck but complete/ stock, slight oil leaks, no receipts for maintenance

Interior:Tan , Complete- seats (not sport) in good condition, dash cracked, Door pockets sagging, driver and passenger carpet worn. Remaining carpet original and serviceable. All panels and gauges and AC components in serviceable condition.

Wheels: correct date codes, 20 YO tires

If i buy it, my thought is to not over restore, keep the patina and drive it.I was thinking of buying it to make a wide body hotrod but its too nice for that, but will never be a concourse car.

So what would you pay and please be realistic, there are no more 30k long hoods that aren't rust buckets. Thanks for your opinions

50ish, plus or minus depending on the overall condition of the serviceable moving parts.

I have one that's going up for sale soon. Similar but different. If you're NYMetro, send me a PM.

If it's a typical East Coast/Midwest car, deduct 20%/$10K for hidden rust repair; these cars are not galvanized!

Do you want to build a 911R? :D

I have a rust free 74 with 1980 3.0 in it.
I bought the complete EB Motorsport 911R Body kit that is still in the bubble wrap, 15" Fuchs in 7 & 8, and a few other parts collected.
The car is still a driver. Leaks oil though. It does have a branded title out of AZ from a theft. Which makes it a perfect hot rod donor IMO.
Id let it all go for $35k. The body parts were $8K

I basically wanted to build something like the car below. I just haven't had the time to start it and now need the space for my son's race car. Moving into Spec Miata or Formula 4 next season. It's time to give up.
