When is a Porsche 911 not a Porsche 911? When it’s a Ruf
Another interesting article/video and certainly open for debate? As usual, the comments are where the fun begins.

Always intriguing! For many years the world's fastest production car. Still, the fastest 911 on the planet production car. I wouldn't argue one bit. It's a 911 born again hard! Porsche never had a problem with it, rather they complimented and supported. Ruf has the history and reputation to stake it's claim as a 911. You just call it a Ruf instead, even though it's a 911.

A couple years ago I was reading some guys comparing the CTR and BTR, guys who have driven both. The handling, the boost, speed etc. One thing I remember they referred to was the BLISTERING ACCELERATION! That sent chills down my spine at the time as I was reading. I do know someone personally who has owned and driven a BTR. The way he described it was, like a 930 turbo plus 50%.

That is a difficult one Matt as the car has been with me for just over 20 years. I disassembled it then down to the body, had it resprayed at that time. It remains a project still with little time to proceed even though I think of it and plan to get it going in the near future. I was mucking around with JDM cars over those many years and never had time to get it on the road. It's embarrassing I know. Maybe by the weekend I may snap a few, but all in parts is hard to do. The BTR motor still in the UK, so getting the motor home fully overhauled is step one. Covid crisis has delayed that for a year now.

Here's a rear view of the gearbox, but you may have seen this one I think on the sugarwood G-50 thread. The Ruf components are all stored in various places, but believe me when I say, I know where they all are.
