1965 911 drivetrain feeler
I have a engine and transmission from a 65 911, the engine is complete as it was taken off the 911, time unknown, it has the transmission, carbs, air filter, and the starter
I have these numbers the engines serial number is 902550, it also has a 901/01 and a 2450 the transmission says 32/65, casting 90135240118 serial 223033 and type 902/1 I want to ask if I would sell it, what should I ask for them. I also have loose body parts from the car, fenders, doors, front and rear complete bumpers, and quarter windows. thanks for your help with this. What carbs? It's a late 65 build, depending how complete and if it turns by hand. I could see 12-15k.

They appear to be Weber IDS.

Obviously not the right carbs but still a winner. Carbs are worth 3k for light

They might be more than that. Though the engine itself would be more if the Solex were still there. 10 years ago I sold a set of those solex for $6,000

I needed a set of Solexs for a 65 2.0 cup I'm trying to build.
A decent set now is 8k-9k. Just for people reading this thread IDS are 67-68 S specific. I actually need a set for a fresh 67S engine I have. I should say kind of need as I might convert into a race engine for my 67s race car.

This would probably be a motor for a 66 model year car. My 66 was built in November of 65, so well into 66 MY production and the engine was only 200 off of this one.

Yeah, when you are a King and you buy a couple of Porsches, the Factory sends their own royalty out to help you sort them. King Hussein with Baron Huschke von Hanstein, and the King's 904 on the left, with my now 911 on the right.
