Hi Tom
The car was sweet… 1.75 X market sweet to the buyer. A very good sale for low mileage 996 GT3 owners especially in sought after colors such as Guards Red.

The car was not Guards Red, and I don't think Guards Red is a sought after color for a GT3.
Very happy with the sale though!

Guards Red was an "inside" reference. I realize the car was white which in fact is a highly desirable color for 996 GT3s..... Great pictures really displayed the beauty of a 996 GT3. PCar is a legit site; no discount in selling over BaT.

Nope, just the market finally realizing how special the last and best analog 911 really is.
After this one they all got some form of computerized nanny nonsense all the way up to traction control, rear wheel steering, variable electronic speed sensitive steering ratios, PDK, etc. etc. The newer ones are all faster but none are as old school fun and communicative as this one. I heard it said best that every 911 before the 996 GT3 was building up to it...and every 911 since has drifted further and further away. Yes...I have one ;-). And I'm keeping it. |

No. That would have been John Paul Sr.'s car.

Maybe that collector in Texas with the white collection wanted it.
He seems to have the best of the best in white. This car fits his collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No. There was an article in Panorama about a collector, that wanted to remain anonymous, that only had white cars. Every important or limited car you can think of he has. All of them white. John likes the skittles cars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
