2015 gt3 fairly bullet proof?

I've read all the 2014 gt3's had engines replaced due to fireworks problems. Did that spill over into many 2015's? I'm looking at one with under 5k miles, so it hasn't had much time to be tested IMO. It must have been an early build, as it sold new in Jan. of 2015. Does Porsche still start the next model year in September like in the old days? With a warranty until 2025, I see that as a good thing, but my luck can turn ugly.

It’s by engine series iirc.
The G ones are ok. There’s a huge thread on rennlist about it.

You mean there’s somewhere else that he can ask questions about carbon brakes and engines? Wow. Who knew there were tech forums.

Jesus everyone’s a ****ing comedian today.

I’m talking about this one specific issue. That someone asked about.

It was stickied there at one time. And it’s long as hell - I copied the link.

I’m just saying… he’s got two tech threads about gt3s in as many days, in marketplace. Where’s the $$$ part of the thread?

Alan A 06-30-2021 06:04 PM

Well if you’ve followed the prices at all, the early ones - 2014s - have gone from being toxic to asking a premium price. Wouldn’t touch one with a pole when they were asking a buck-ten. Seeing them at a buck-forty makes me want a new M4 at sticker instead.

I'm throwing it out there to as many eyes as possible. Knowledge is King, and I'm not afraid of asking questions. I'll admit, I'm ignorant in some area's, and genius in others...........that was a joke.

Thanks for the link Alan!

I think you know I’m just giving you a hard time.

Here’s a beauty that’s sort of a pocket listing.

Is September still the month where the following year cars are produced? Like September of 14, is officially a 15 year model?

Matt, you said on another thread that at times you are an instigator, so does that make you The Stig???

Matt Monson 07-01-2021 05:20 AM

Nah, not me. It’s been long enough since I last put my helmet on that I suspect it may be expired.

Yes, fall production dates are the following year’s model year.
