Weber value

Pulled these off a friend’s project, trying to figure out a fair value. From what I can see stamped theyre 46 ID 3, not sure what the remaining two digits represent or the 5 & M below. Italian made which I believe is good, but also in need of overhaul/refurbishing

check this BAT auction out, AND these are 40's!! the 46's are much harder to come across so you've got something special there. you might want to consider rebuilding them, cleaning them up, and getting them shinny for top, TOP dollar.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-marketplace-discussion/1101682-bat-parts.html

do a classified search if you've not already to see what they have gone for, and if you find few adds better yet.

as they sit i'd think north of $6k, at least.

Thanks for that, slowly getting smarter on Weber model designations. I’ve scanned the classifieds but seemed like it’s hard to find an apples to apples comparison and prices range widely

Any recommendations for a good overhaul resource?

if it is declared in the add that Paul at Performance Oriented redid those then they are all that. he is the weber guru for sure and maintains a great website dedicated to them. do a search for "Performance Oriented" to become enlightened.

he has relocated to Oregon from CA and has had the business for sale for a year or so as he wants to retire. thing is all his tools and such for the work is pretty much worthless to the average guy looking into a business. his knowledge and experience is the basis for that type of business. he was always backed up with quite a wait to get work done and i'd have to imagine that he wants to get out that wait for his services could be long or even non existent.

Good luck

i did not read the add, but if Paul did them I would have to assume that was noted.

Please post back if you get an idea of value. I’ve got a set of 46s I’ve considered selling myself.

I've got one 46 I'd sell you for 40 bucks! I think they are crap! I prefer the 58's and I think they hold their value and perform twice their size!
