84 Carrera prices?

I have an unmolested 84 Carrera, 65k miles, all the typical upgrades, runs and drives well, a few nicks and scratches as might be expected with a 36 year old car, but no crash damage, rust, engine problems. It is basically original. What is this 911 worth, realistically? I am interested in selling it, I have hardly driven it in the last five years. It has always been garaged. Thank you for any advice or insight.

How many miles in those 5 years? And how much maintenance during those 5 years?

Maybe 1000 miles, kept it on a battery tender, drove it once a month, checked oil and tire pressure. Runs and drives fine.

That still leaves a ton of questions. Things like plugs, wires, cap and rotor, pads and rotors, etc.

You also don’t mention coupe, cab, or targa, and color. Typical upgrades doesn’t explain much either. Steering wheel? Wheels? Suspension? What’s typical?

Pictures go a long way to helping figure it out. Could be a $40k car. Could be a $90k car. The more you disclose, the closer you’ll get to an accurate price.

This is how you describe a car and get a good ballpark value. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-marketplace-discussion/1097460-85-911-cab-no-clue-what-ask.html#post11386349

To me the easiest thing for all sellers to do is simply get leak down and compression measures, and post those when selling. It costs $400 bucks but Covers about 80% of what a potential buyer would be concerned with. Obviously, tranny, suspension and making sure the car is not a rust bucket is important, but engine health can make a $25-30k difference in value. This car is low miles. Like Matt said, could be worth $90k.

2 days without a follow up? Probably a bot or one of those WTB scammers trying to make a search of their post history look legitimate. Let it sink unless he comes back…

You did well. That’s good $$ for an ‘84 3.2.
