So what the deal with BAT announcements?

Delete. When it gets personal, that is when I check out.

Not me, I think it draws attention to listing. Basically a past practice; Pelican sellers always did with EBay listings.

Given the community knows my car; I know I would list if i was selling.

It's a little different for active members like you--it's a nice "heads up" in that case.

But when random punters announce, with their first-ever post, that their car is up for auction...

Concur, ok for us old members, not ok for newbies. But perhaps difficult to enforce.

right?

now that the dealers have their own cars for sale page, it's chill. don't like BaT listings, don't click on the thread...

I have not spent almost 60 years on this earth and 40 as a multiple 911 owner, Porsche technician and now Pilot to put up with this disrespect.

Agreed. I’ve been subject to MIB’s abuse. That wasn’t it. It was just a wee bit snarky. That’s all.

That's MIB simply playing his MPF role. You know, coming in once every few months throwing elbows and shouting real loud before he disappears again a few days later.

I'm sure we here in the haram all did not give it a second thought knowing his act, but it hurt ol Fredie deeply apparently. Bring your Carhart heavy, big boy pants to the MPF Fred... or give it a few days and MIB will blow out and away like the wind shifting the smell of the dump away from your neighborhood.

Que MIB putting some of us on blast in 3-2-1.....

Fredie was a pilot? Interesting to hear! I'd like to hear more of that. dwelle's dad flew a Thunderbird in early 70's. I did about 50 hours in a single engine aircraft before I ducked out. Never ever got my actual pilots license.

Yep.

“For sale” threads belong in the for sale forum. That’s a case in point fer sure but to JMS’s credit, he was upfront and honest about it.

Fredie abandoned his thread too readily, what a pity, it has legs. And to top that, on MIB’s account too ! Sigh. Let’s hope he returns, unlike Goose who’s gone for good. Talk to me Fredie !

In 1995 at Grad school Temple University (Osaka sister school branch), I created this game for students based on Jeopardy which I still use today and mind you students still love to play! and it's called Jeopardy. There are answer/questions in varying degree of difficulty e.g. what, where, who, how and when.

I love this game too! After I set up the students in groups to play, it burns up the entire class period and I don't have to work at all. One of the most difficult questions in the WHAT category correlates to this ANSWER -- Feddie (Mercury) doesn't want to go to the concert on Saturday night.

That one is worth 10.000 Yen if you want to play pmax. It's a WHAT question for 10,000 yen!! Hint -- maybe he has a date? Remember the rules now. If you make a mistake you don't make any money, moreover any other player, like M2 for instance can jump in. First correct player on your turn can take your money.
