Not genuine. See what Sierra Madre sells their reps for, and knock off 25%.

I highly doubt that, it has been sitting on my tool box since 1980. I didnt ask for an opinion from 1000 miles away. impossible to evaluate anything with out seeing it up close. But thank you for your opinion anyway.

Remove the seal and photograph the marks underneath.

He's rusty? Maybe catching up for lost time? Maybe wants to liquidate it i.e. looking for an opinion?

Looks clean and new. If OP is telling the truth and I don't quite think they had replicas back in 1980 (maybe they did), so if genuine I would speculate 3-4 hundred dollars including shipping to a person who really needs it -- just a wild guess.

Certainly doesn’t look original. Like Mat said, post up a pic of the back side so we can see the pins and the stamping.
For the record, you did post here to solicit advice. Not sure why you’d reject solid advice from someone who’s been a member here for 14 years.

ol charles does not need your estimation of value if you are farther than, say ah 1000 miles from the top shelf of his toolbox. I suspect you being in the phoenix state are close to M2 in longitude so your opinion is not relevant here.

A thousand miles Toby, is that all? Opinions are like *******s they say, but everyone has one. Take even a thousand mile radius around M2. You make it sound like Porsche central. I've always thought Porsche central USA was OC CA, more specifically Costa Mesa, but I could be wrong.

A thousand mile radius around Hong Kong back in 83' encompassed over half the world's population, most of which had never heard the good news of the gospel even once. I thought I'd share the good news so I set sail for Japan then, which was less than 0.5% X-tian, mostly nominal or traditional at that. It's been a journey, mostly modeling or cars or teaching the English, but no regrets. The thousand mile longitude you mentioned made me think of that...

Not to hijack the op thread but how much would an '89 crest that has been vandalized be worth?
It's slightly bent with some chipping on the horse and b/r areas. Been in the drawer for about 9yrs.

I don’t know how this thread could get any further into the weeds.

Post a picture of the damage.

This happens to me a lot, someone calls me and asks what their car or a part is worth. I tell them, they start to argue with me and question if I truly know what I'm talking about. I always ask, "If I'm so clueless, what did you call me?"

Like the marine said in the movie, "You can't handle the truth!"
