Refinishing Speedlines

Does anyone have experience refinishing Speedlines?

I wonder how does one protect the Speedline "logos and markings" that are on the wheels when they are refinishing a set.

Thanks

I'm interested in your question littleoldman. I myself have a set off my BTR Ruf. There are scratchces etc. I know a guy with a clean pristine set. Would I be better off to buy that set and sell my set as is? Good question...

I’d buy the extra set if you can. They seem to hold value.
Then figure out a restoration and sell at a later date.

I’m still looking for a remedy.

Thanks littleoldman! I'll have to plan on that one. Last week bought a BTR muffler which set me back. I have to sell some other parts just so I can pay my annual health insurance @ 3.5K coming in March Life is a b-tch!

The logos and markings aren't saved perse .. after the refinish of the barrels the markings are re etched into the metal by way of a stencil and glas beading ..

I just dropped my car off to get the Ruf Speedlines refinished this morning. I'll let you know how it turns out. I am doing a matching face to the center caps obviously, but with a polished lip.
