The 914 has arrived.

https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am22/amelia-island/lots/r0019-1971-porsche-9146-m471/1202278?fbclid=IwAR3R5cUeMXuMLEj_XgoZqWcHEf7e4IMYW OJErJ-1RIkHZCR-OU2s_GjaLY0

A real M471 went for more than half a million.

And no mention of the engine whatsoever. Text mentions a 2.0 but not clear that that's what's in the car.

She is a beauty! I loved it from the first time I saw it, color and a little style on rear badges/emblems just to bark up people on the road. Would be nice to see more angles, I mean, I only saw it's ass sticking out of your garage -- which was almost enough. Like me, too many cars in my life and time to consolidate AMAP so I can start something new, maybe a new car project?

By the way, when's your brother gonna buy my 69 Z-28 RS? I haven't heard a peep out of him. That's another one that needs to go -- still not on the market ...yet ...

Kinda cool to see 914 values rising, across the board. I wondered if it would ever happen, having owned 914s for 30+ years. Obviously GTs taking a large premium.

Dang, that's gorgeous.

Makes me want to sell my 911 to buy your 914.

If I had a spare $20k, that’s exactly the kind of look I want for the bumble bee, except all the proper sunflower yellow trim in place. Purists tell me I’m wrong.

The purists hate me, there are pages and pages on 914 World on what a bad man I am, when it comes to 914's.

I had the opportunity to buy a 914 GT tribute built by a very well known Master Tech for $28K just a few years ago. Adam would know whom I'm talking about. He's since moved onto much bigger things.

I passed. He ended up selling it for almost 3 times that price and I bet it would garner 4 times today.
I'm a dope sometimes.

Eric Shea at PMB is building some fantastic GT tribute cars the last few years, including converting a few real sixes, and a Troutman, to Widebody.
