Help with Values Please...1972 2.4L Engine Parts
Thanks for any help provided. I am looking for general values (wholesale or discounted retail).
1972 2.4L I have a complete disassembled long block. Two rods and the #5 crank journal are discolored on the crank end, but there is no gauging or grooves in the crank or rods. Everything else looks to be in good condition. All parts have been stored for years in AZ. (Planned for a off-road car back in the day) I believe all internal parts are there, including the timing chain housings, timing chains, rockers, cams, valves, etc. I also have (6) intake tubes, distributor, regulator and computer module of some sort. where did you get the motor? any history?

I don't have any history at all. It was acquired for an off-road platform back in the day when it was cool to put a Porsche 6 cyl in a off-road car.

A friend just picked up a 2.4 MFI complete but locked up for 1500.

Anyone have any help with this? How do these prices look...High, low, just right?
Case $1500 Crank $300 Rods $150 Rockers $600 Heads, complete with Cams $600 Distributor $200 Timing Chains, covers and hyd tensions $200 Oil Pump $100 Fuel Injection Unit Bosch EP/LKL 6/4 0 438 120 004 ??? There is other misc items including a regulator and computer of some sort. $2500 to $3000 for everything seem reasonable? |
