Leather Seats... Dont USE Ridies.com

I know... my mistake... I should have used Pelican but the price and seeming quality of the website got the best of me. Anyway my complain against Ridies.com is that the color was not even close. Yes they offer samples but its a 6 week lead time and when you are pressed for time things have to give. I ordered Cashmere and got basically a linen/grey color. Not even close. See photo attached. Their response was "There is no return/exchange if the color doesn’t match." So take your chances if you like... but I suggest you avoid them if you want a color that is even close to the one you are ordering.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1660052866.jpg

For some reason I have no sympathy.

When it comes to the internet.... oh boy... I remember what showed up at the door when I was online shopping for a girlfriend ;)

Oh, you can return it? Do that.

When I did my BMW interior, I went over the choices in person. Even then, there's no guarantee because of the inconsistencies of dyed leather and what the sun has done to the old leather. Mine is close, but not perfect.

Just have it dyed the correct color. All leather is top dyed and there are professional detailers everywhere that can dye it for you.

Or you can do what I do and find the closest detail supply and buy the dye and spray it yourself.

These guys have all the factory color codes.

Seems it would be really hard to color match older leather. Doesn't it darken over time?

Cashmere changes color over time as does the carpet so a perfect match will only happen if you have it dyed. It tends to turn more palomino in color vs cashmere. The vinyl and leather also vary considerably.

If you have the original material and want it to match, send a swatch off to color plus https://colorplus.com/ and they can mix a can of dye that will work. It also depends on if you spray it or wipe it on as the color will vary.
