Another what is worth ???
 

I have the opportunity to buy a well converted widebody Euro 79 SC with a non running engine. It started acting up making some noise and the owner parked it nearly 20 years ago. Very clean condition and has some interesting items like 15" Gotti wheels. requiring 335 tires. These will go up for sale and something to replace them. Paint and interior in good condition. I don't believe the engine will be a problem other than a rebuild which I can do but the stock brakes and stock power would need to addressed and I suspect shocks as well.

What does the collective think it might bring in this crazy market if I fix everything properly and update it a little? It has factory Boxed rockers as well.

I have no pics but assume the body needs nothing.

Your reputation precedes you Anthony. You know what you're doing and know quality when you see it.

If a nice 79SC with a freshly rebuilt engine were to come on the market, I think it would bring $50K all day long, maybe $60-$65, depending on how nice it was, miles on the chassis, color etc.. Freshly rebuilt engines by well known builders are a tremendous relief to prospective buyers.

In your case, looks could make or break the car. Could be more if you tweak the engine.

Thanks Nick, that is kind of you to say and I agree that was the number I was thinking as well. It is guards red over tan interior I have to check, I believe sport seats as well. He had the crazy blaupunkt radio with funky stalk equalizer in it as well IIRC so that would go and if it is like the Nak deck I should see some good money to help with the build.

I will see if I can get it for a price that makes sense.
