930 sale suggestions
Thinking of selling my 1986 930 USA Model in the spring. It is completely original Silver Exterior/ Black leather non sport seats. Has a few nicks and scratches for a 36 year old car, but original paint is in good condition. Have the original 7/9 fuchs with a set of Speedline Daytonas (8/10") on Michelin Cups, and another set of Speedline Aliseos (disassembled) with no tires. Motor is strong with good leak down test just preformed. 3 Owner car with records and manuals. Suggestions on the best way to sell, car is located in Canada close to the US border. Suggestions appreciated.

You can try BAT, but sales of 930s have not been great lately. With 86k miles it’s more of a driver. I went through this with my 930 I sold back in March. It had 83k miles, I sold it private.

Maybe check BaT auction results and Hagerty valuation site. Beautiful 930!

You should tell him/us what you got for it.

Sure it was an 89 coupe black on black. Ended up with 160k back in March 2022.

Not sure it’s that much, but it’s a fair bit.

point taken. I dunno, to me 930s do ok on bat. all 100-150k.
if anything in light of 3.2 carreras making upwards of six figures, a 930 in the same ballpark seems good value to me. After all, its the big dog. 350 rwhp possible with a K27 and a stiffer wastegate spring too.... |

@Black968. Nice car! I happen to have the correct Blaupunkt for your car… we had two restored (old timer radio in Germany) at the same time, one for our 79 928 a the other is a spare intended for our 77 911s targa, but found an NOS unit that we installed with the microphone
![]() Btw. For this car the price is exactly what we paid for the radio and repair (have bills)… Cheers |

^^Thank you for the offer, I will most likely just pass the old deck on to the new owner and he/she can decide.
Looking at BAT, lots of no sales. Money is getting tight and prices are declining for discretionary purchases. |

Yes and no. ADMs on GT cars are still very strong. PTS tourings selling for 100k over. Granted the buyer pool for 930s is smaller but I don't think the macro backdrop is too bad for six figure cars.

What do you want for the radio? I'm going to be selling my 87 GP white soon and might be willing to retrofit one.
Thanks! Quote:
