Sheridan Wyoming... cleaning house?

I've never had any personal interactions but have heard many stories about the guy in Sheridan, Wyoming... I'm sure plenty of you have too... Found this listing on eBay, looks like they are closing up shop, thought it was interesting...
Lots from $2500 to $2,500,000... Maybe there is a 918 tucked away in the back that I can't see in the pics

unless he died or has been rehomed by his kin we longtime observers have seen this before.

although that seems to be a different EBay handle then in ads past.

Same guy...look at his feedback. Sells a car on ebay then refuses to sell it. Removes items from a vehicle after the sale...etc. etc.

Looks like a good candidate for an onsite all Porsche auction. Could mostly all be gone in a day. Probably ultimately get more that way with the bidding frenzy that can happen with a live auction. Hello Mecum.

Could be but he never sells. It’s been going on about 20 years now. I sold him a car or two, 15 years ago. I’ve got all kinds of story, some that transpired here and others IRL. He’s not one of my fans.

I did also happen to own a pretty nice little 10/66 production 5 gauge 912 that he bought in SoCal from an original owner. They aren’t all turds.

He doesn’t sell very many of them. He has a personal attachment to them and trying to buy a car from him is like the Seinfeld episode where you need to be worthy of the sponge. Most of us are not worthy. I got the car I had because it was sold to me by someone who was. But not many are.

Interesting. He has a few negative feedbacks from 1 year ago and older. I'm surprised he hasn't had his account suspended.

He’s been through 5 or 6 user IDs here. That’s not his first eBay ID either.

This is his last name here. Looks like he hasn’t logged in for a few years.

OK, that is the funniest thing I've read in a really, really long time.

It's almost like this lark is a pelican forums right of passage for one to reveal this Wyoming unicorn like it's the 1st time....

My plan has always been to head up there at some point with a double-double from the in & out and hope like hell he'd adopt me. any better plans been hatched?

He’s been through multiple banned id’s here, EarlyS, Samba, EBay.. He was running shill bidders on car auctions, buying his own cars, filing fake feedback. He’s a tool of the highest order. I tried buying parts from him nearly 20 years ago and quickly figured out his MO. He also used multiple email addresses and aliases even in email conversations. No one with a shred of integrity does that.

He sends me nasty emails from time to time when I chime in to let new forum users know of his past exploits, lol.

Most recent ESR ban was just about a month ago.

Well, I suppose we should all expect a nasty response from all this then.

He once took out a Craigslist ad talking trash about me. It was an ad for a part I manufactured, but the whole ad copy was talking shyte about me.

OMG! That would be terribly funny if it wasn’t so tragically pathetic.

What’s really sad is that one time he did have some cool stuff but, his personality got in the way. Could have really made a name, could have developed a real restoration business if he’d only had the integrity. He’s really burned himself..

That and it seemed that he really had no respect for the cars or the marque.

That’s astounding Matt. You really have some history there. Thanks much for keeping us in-the-know.
Really too bad since it seems he has the know-how and skill, but definitely taking advantage.

He’s still lurking around here. Saw he updated his EBay ad with a special PP shout out. Likely just another one of his lies. At the time of his latest ESR ban last
Month or so, He was talking about picking up a car out west and was looking for engine buyers to offset his empty trailer trip.

Hi John!

He’s been trying to sell the whole lot using the ‘retiring’ excuse for oh,,, probably the last ten years or so. Lost count of how many times he’s advertised the ‘Lot’.
