Porsche racing parts, 935... Looking for info~
Greetings everyone,
Trying to get some information on these parts and see exactly what I've got. I've done some research and provided what info I have or can find but anything you can offer/verify would be great! Some parts are definitely 935, some might be stock bits I'm not familiar with~ #1 Differential spool, appears to be aluminum, anodized red. 10 bolt, 31 spline. Is this even a Porsche part? It seems to be a GM part after more research?... oh well~ #2 Oil cooler/Thermostat - Very custom piece, possible prototype piece? Appears unused as some holes are not tapped. #3 Aluminum piece - looks like it could possibly be a fancy cam drive attachment? Maybe another possible prototype piece or just junk?!?! Was found with the oil cooler/t-stat. #4 956 Clutch discs! One shows part number 956.116.015.00 - dated 11/85. Second has a number on it which is 1984089001 - dated 12/86. Both stamped with "F&S" on the back. Cool pieces! #5 Bosch 8-pin CDI box - Custom unit with single green LED. Hard stamped near the plug with "VISG 1-43"... Hand written on it is "ZU VIPL 405-44-30". Has a power/ground lead, possibly a tach lead, and the wire which go the the attached solenoid/actuator bit. Is this possibly an adjustable rev limiter for the 935? #6 Porsche VDO Ladedruck LED Boost gauge! .5-1.9 kg/cm2. 4 pin connector. Ink stamp very hard to read but possibly 2.77 date stamp? Has a hand written paper with "22" taped to the back. In researching it seems the part number for thie gauge is 935.641.503.00. I've also found that you need a 2 bar pressure sensor for it to work properly which I was not able to locate, though I found plenty on 1.5 bar sensors. If anyone has a 2 bar sensor available I would like to buy it - thanks! #7 VDO 10,000 RPM Tachometer with tell tale needle? Has a blue and yellow warning lights. The instrument numbers themselves are printed onto the back on the plastic rather than stuck to the gauge face. It has a raised dimple in the center. On the back it is a mechanical drive and has an ink stamp dating it to 6.76. Also a little reset button presumably for the tell tale. #8 "935 Supports" These appear to be game used with some slight damage showing. Likely removed from a 935 which was restored, but no idea what bits these are. Possibly rear bodywork? Any info would be appreciated. #9 VDO mechanical tach drive?? Has the 2 relays wired in as you can see, dated 7.71. I do not see anything like it in the PET catalog. Is this aftermarket or is this possibly something put together to run the 10,000 RPM Tach? Thanks for your time and any information you can provide is definitely appreciated!! John
