Selling a car on BAT, from Japan, How long would the process take beginning from scra

Thanks for any advise here everyone. Considering to sell a Peugeot on BAT but fairly ignorant of the process beginning to end and time frame if attempted. It's a 610 A Alpine Turbo and an original 20 K (km) car in blue (nice color). Not that familiar with the car myself, but my friend has researched this vintage rally car and now gotten it going. Apparently they are the equivalent of a 930 on performance.

Thought it might be worth a BAT move if I only knew how to proceed. We've been informed by someone that there is only one of these for sale in the US currently.

Thank you for any tips!

bernie

Sorry, title should read from beginning and from scratch.

BAT claims it takes about 4 weeks from day of submission to the day it goes Live on Auction. In my personal experience it took about 2 weeks to go Live as I provided as much photos and a good write up or description of the vehicle to help the Auction Specialist make the listing effectively. I have Sold about 5 911’s on BAT.

Indeed! . Shows how much I know or care about French cars. I especially hate the Citronen! (did I spell that right?)

I had the info on this car but left my notebook in the mountains over the weekend. Truth is my friend who I trust found this car, got it home and going. He knows all about it and can sell it easy without BAT so I just leave it with him. It's now at his place 2 hours from here. I have an interest in it since he didn't have all the money to buy 2 rally cars as a set. If it were a 911 I would have been up there for a look weeks ago, but it's not unfortunately. French cars are all the same to me, yet I guess this one is a bit rare and special...

Alpine A610s are neat cars, but they’re not a Renault - Alpine was the manufacturer. They were, however, based on Renault mechanicals.

I checked with my friend by phone tonight and he said there are only 2 cars for sale in Italy right now, one yellow with more Ks than this one for 86K euro (70k USD?).

He has contacted the BAT reps, sent the data and pics. What he was told is that this car may go live within 2 days? That is a lot better than 2 weeks if true. I asked him if he was honest on paint, tires? He said yes, he told them all details -- he only did a little paint work on rear spoiler. Tires are like new maybe but dated and with cracks. Rear or front dated 1989 and 1991 respectively. So there is a little patina there.

We'll see how it goes and I did ask him if I post these 3 pix here does he mind, is it OK? He doesn't care at all. These pics he sent me the day we got it home from the Kanto area.

Thanks again adoni510! Your experience and advice, reputation precede you!
