End of an era
End of an era. I stopped off at my friend Dick Hyland's place this week to load up some last parts, and it was eerily empty. Many a Porsche went through there, my engine was re-built there and is still going strong. Thanks for the memories Dick!

buried treasure
During his divorce some complete cars were buried to hide them. The 906 ended up in my shop purchased by Kenny Williams. It was all original except it had a 2.2E engine. It came from Ralph Landolfy boatyard in NY.I purchased the original 906 motor from him for $1700.00 and it went into a customers 914-6 GT that came from Ralph Meaney.Small Porsche world back then.906 had original orange paisley material in the seats.Ciao Fred

memories
The cycle of life and business has come and gone forever and thank god he blessed us with a memory, for without those memories life is a little sadder. I have recently relocated and downsized and when i look back at the pictures of the past 38 years there is a smile on my face and a tear in my eye, all good.
Adam, that is very cool that you were able experience those times early and late but also a little sad to see what eventually happens to us all. i am not sure if you will be far enough south to stop by and see my stash but if you get down towards sebring look me up Richard |

I was just thinking about Dick the other day. What a wonder person.
The last time I saw him a group of friends and I did a quick tour up to visit... that was quite a while ago. ...he was always friendly and welcoming. I shot these photos that day. The yellow car peaking out of the garage was Dicks race car ![]()

Always used to enjoy seeing the racecars Dick brought to PCA track days. The yellow targa and the EBS Porsche prototype / hillclimb special come to mind.

Just found this while looking up information on Dick. Thought it was an interesting companion to the picture in the first post.

Just found this post. I bought a race car targa from his stash in 2019, and have slowly been bringing it back to life. Stoked there's some history to him
