Value of 1976 912e w/ 2.7 Nonrunning Swap
Hi all,
I'm looking to sell my 1976 Porsche 912e and frankly I'm not sure where to put the value at. The car is pretty solid, with just minor surface rust in common places. It was resprayed black (poorly) at some point in it's life. It has a 1976 Porsche 2.7 engine that has been swapped in and really needs some minor work with wiring to be complete. Lots of new parts including a rear backdate that has been started, Nardi steering wheel, new fuel pump and tunnel lines installed. New throttle line and everything was converted to run the original 923 transmission with new parts (clutch/flywheel/guide tube/seals/etc). That alone was a feat. The Fuch's are Maxilite replicas. The engine has SSI's to a new Dansk sport exhaust, Carrera chain tensioners, popoff valve, and was reportedly rebuilt 60k miles ago. One of the SSI's has a hole in the heater core portion, but they're solid otherwise. The leak down I performed was solid around 2-5% per cylinder. I also added a trombone oil cooler and all the lines. Frankly, it's sat in my garage for 2 years and I'm ready to move on. Someone with a shop or lift could likely get it running in a weekend, but Im over it all now. Below are some images both when it ran and today as well as a link to the engine when I bought it. If I could get some guidance on the value, I would greatly appreciate it! And if you want to make an offer or check out the car, I'm in Charlotte, NC. Cason, please keep us posted on what becomes of this handsome 912E-2.7. I, too, am in the Carolinas and have just pretty much completed my updates to my ‘76 E-3.0. These are such fun when modded to your liking. Wish I had known you & this car earlier, as I would have gladly brought it back to life for some satisfying NC backroad fun!

He has it on Facebook and I’ve replied a couple of times but he never returns the message.

My cousin sent me this car. Looks decent and if I remember he was asking mid 20's which seems fair for what it is.
