^ this.

Is it std/std or does it need turning?

Send it to Armondo in Texass. By the time it's returned all polished and had the races cleared it will be worth 10x what it is now....

It will be measured and checked for within spec obviously.

out of curiousity what does armondo typically charge for polished and race clearings?

A clearer value would be determined if it was measured and that info was provided, obviously.

it's been years since I used him and as I recall 600 or 700 bucks. had one done while he was still in the bay area and one done after he went to texass. Luckily my engine builder in the bay area had used him for years and did not suffer his delays to the extent other do cause he rode his ass to get it done.

as i heard it his delays/excuses can be maddening.

I just got two cranks polished at a machine shop we’ve used for years. Total was $70 for both. That might be a f&f price but I doubt it’s $700 if you walk in from the street. The bearing surfaces look like a mirror but I’m not sure that makes the crank 10x more valuable. What am I missing here?

Cause armondo can take a year or more if you don't stay on him. i guess a smiley emoji was in order with the 10x comment.

A magnefluxed and polished std/std crankshaft should be about 2k.
