PCA buying cars?
Has anyone ever heard of the PCA buying a car from a dealer? A local dealer of all types of sports and exotic cars claims that the PCA just purchased a 74 Targa from them. They also said that they sold a more recent vehicle to them a week or so ago.
It surprised me that the PCA would actually take ownership of a vehicle, assuming it's true. I was just curious to see if anyone knew anything about this. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

Yeah, I had the same thought, however, it just seems like there would be too much risk in a fifty year old used car. The PCA routinely raffles new cars, which transfers the risk of product failures to Porsche.
It's not a big deal, I just thought it was interesting and was curious if anyone had any knowledge of it. Thanks.

They currently have been working on a 964 project. Although the car was donated.
Are you sure it was PCA and not PCNA? I know PCNA is buying up classics to have for their classic training program. Here are just a few cars purchased by PCNA to use as training vehicles and they have one of every engine made for classroom use.
